What is it about parents that make them think everyone wants to know everything, and I mean everything, about their kids. Facebook, at least in my small universe has become a place for sharing the gory details of parenthood and child rearing.
A “friend” recently posted a picture of her son going “potty” while also eating a snack…she included the following caption: "I know, it’s gross he’s eating on the toilet but it’s the only way we could get him to try.” That’s the gross part??? How’s about the fact that you shot a picture of him taking a crap??? Like that won’t put him into therapy later.
Another “friend” went on and on about breast-feeding her daughter as if there was nothing else in the world to talk about. She even offered up a recipe for Beast Milk Ice Cream. Boy if that didn’t make me gag…
And still another “friend” wrote about her daughter’s latest illness…to include detailed information on the consistency of her latest bowel movement.
Dear God women…can’t you form a private group in which you can discuss this stuff? Not everyone is interested…personally I don’t have the stomach for it.
